  1. Kia Ora Ariana,

You have done an awesome job showing your working. I can see exactly how you figured out how many adults could lift the squid. I sometimes find it easier to break maths problems up into smaller steps so I can work it out for myself. Did you enjoy doing a maths problem? We decided to add some maths problems this year so learner’s can use their maths knowledge as well!

I hope I see more blog posts from you soon!

    Blog ya later,
    Dani

  2. Hi Ariana,

Great work on completing another activity! That's a lot of adults needed to carry one squid. It's quite crazy how much it weighs. Have you been to Te Papa in Wellington before? That's where this squid is kept. I live in Wellington during the school year for university and often go to Te Papa. There is a lot of history in Te Papa and you always learn something new.

Keep up the great work Ariana :-) I am lookinf forward to seeing more blog posts from you soon.

    Nga mihi,
    Georgia.

  3. Hi Ariana,
Well done on finishing this SLJ activity. I think you did a great job solving this math problem. How hard do you think it would be to carry the slimy giant squid? Also, if you caught a giant squid, who would you get to help you carry it? Keep up the good work.
