SLJ Scaling New Heights Week 1

These are the questions that I would ask Sir Edmund Hilary.

Who/What inspired you to climb Mt Everest?

How old were you when you climbed Mt Everest?

Why are you on the $5 dollar note?

How long did it take you to climb Mt Everest?

What did you eat while you were climbing Mt Everest?

How did you go to the bathroom? Were their toilets on the mountain?

You have gone above and beyond by doing 6 questions! I really appreciate that and think you are really taking charge of your learning.
Well done on creating some thoughtful questions that are really relevant. Did you know Sir Edmund Hillary is New Zealand’s most accomplished explorer as he was the first man to climb Mount Everest in 1953. I have attached a link so you can find out some more information about Sir Edmund Hillary: http://www.siredmundhillary.com/banknote.htm

If you have the time, try answer these questions that you have posted through the link!
Keep up the awesome and excellent quality of work you are doing!

    Thanks,

  2. Hello Ariana,
I am Vitaraag. You have worked really hard on these questions. Do you know why Sir Edmund Hillary is famous? He is famous because he was the first one to climb Mt Everest. Do you want to climb Mt Everest? I don't. Maybe next time you can say questions that you would have to ask Sir Edmund Hillary. Your questions are great but you can probably find the answers to them online. Do you know how high Mt Everest is? Keep up the phenomenal work!

  3. Hi Ariana,
Well done on finishing this activity. You did a great job coming up with six questions that you would ask Sir Edmund Hillary. I like the last one the best because I've never thought of it. I wonder if there are toilets at certain points on the mountain or if you have to bury your waste under the snow. Keep up the good work.
