It's me again, Tayla! I'm really enjoying reading your blog posts :)
That's so cool that you got to meet Portia, someone who you clearly admire and look up to! She sounds like an incredible woman, and a great person to choose to write about for this activity.
Do you play rugby, Ariana? I bet the training run with Portia was an awesome experience! Did you do this with your school?
I really enjoy learning about different changemakers that come from Aotearoa. Thanks for sharing a new one! As usual, you've done such a great job with your presentation. I love all the colours and images you've done!
My name is Taleisha and I am a year 8 student commenter for the Summer Learning Journey. I was given the job by Tayla :)
What a cool blog post! You certainly have had an amazing experience with Portia. Being able to see her trophy and wear her medals! It also must've been exhilarating to have a training run with her. I myself got to meet Portia with my cousin at the weetbix tryathalon. I got to take a picture with her and another sports person and get both their signatures.
You have added great detail into your DLO and have mentioned some very interesting facts. I can't believe shes the top women's try scorer in history!
I hope to see more posts from you later on these holidays :)
Hello Ariana, I am Vitaraag and I am participating in the Summer Learning Journey this year. Congratulations on completing week 1 of the Summer Learning Journey. Keep up the hard work! I really like how you chose someone who is a role model for you. I also like how you gave a lot of information about her. A role model for me is my dad. Whenever I am going through tough times my dad always helps me. My mum also helps me. My dad always trys to push me to my limits so I can be the best I can be. Are your parents a role model for you? Anyways, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!
